The Contemporary Resort- Walt Disney World

On a recent visit to the Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World during travel agent training we were privileged to see the newly renovated rooms and resort at it's finest!  This was during Christmas time which explains the decorations.

Per Disney's website:
Retreat to this ultra-modern Disney Resort hotel and discover award-winning dining, white-sand beaches, spectacular views and dazzling pools. Whether you’re staying in the iconic A-frame Contemporary tower or the nearby Garden Wing, you can walk to Magic Kingdom Main gate or catch the Resort Monorail as it breezes through the tower. Inside, a 90-foot-tall mural by Disney Legend Mary Blair—responsible for the distinct look and feel of the “it’s a small world” attraction—celebrates the Grand Canyon and the American Southwest.

These pictures highlight the resort lobby area and the monorail which drives through the middle of the resort.  Fantastic convenience!  Just a monorail ride from Epcot and a short walk to Magic Kingdom!

Resort room categories vary.  There are Bay Lake views or Theme Park views!

Extra bed for 5th person.

Chef Mickey's and the California Grill (signature restaurant) are just two of the amazing dining options available in this resort.

This deluxe Disney-owned resort is designed as a distinctive building within Walt Disney World that has the resort monorail running right through its center, with the Magic Kingdom a 10-minute walk away.

All rooms have free WiFi, safes and coffeemakers, while some have views over the Magic Kingdom. Club Level suites also have DVD players and include concierge service, complimentary use of the fitness center and a pre-arrival Disney World itinerary planning service.

There are multiple dining options including a Disney-themed buffet restaurant. There are also 2 heated pools, one with a 17-ft high waterslide. Parking is free.
